Fix Email Issues in Microsoft Dynamics GP
Microsoft GP users may have recently experienced issues with sending emails from their ERP system. Microsoft has begun to deprecate Basic Authentication for Online Exchange by disabling it in selective tenants, and this has impacted GP customers unpredictably.

If you are using Basic Auth and experience difficulties, follow the workarounds documented here. Also refer to this handy Email Troubleshooting Guide. Please reach out to your Microsoft Partner if you do not have in-house IT support.

If you are using Modern Auth, you should not be affected.

Microsoft has recommended that GP customers on older builds should upgrade to Dynamics GP 18.3 or later by October 1, 2022 – when Basic Auth is scheduled to be permanently disabled.
IMPORTANT notice for Mekorma customers:
If you have a Mekorma customization, you must contact us BEFORE upgrading your major Dynamics GP version. If you upgrade GP without also upgrading Mekorma, your custom functionality will not be usable.
